It’s been a wild ride here on our part of the planet. Liars and thieves, who are already more than wealthy, try to steal more from us everyday. They fan the fires of fear to keep us like deer in the headlights. They want us shocked into a standstill while they suck as much of our tax dollars into their back accounts.
Well, I’ve had it. And I know, you’ve had it, too.
What do we do? Vote. March. Raise our voices.
If you think it’s futile to vote, then they’ve got you right where they want you.
Don’t let them control you - VOTE!
Sometimes all you need is a good splat.
That’s what I’ve been doing to keep my sanity. It’s not what you think, I’m not throwing myself down to the ground. Though a good nap does help to refresh me after being bombarded with the words of billionaire thieves.
Here’s what I did yesterday:
Got out white paper.
Mixed up paints.
Gathered my inks.
Got out my favorite brushes.
Swirled them in colors.
Raised my arm and let those colors fly.
SPLAT.
SPLAT.
SPLAT.
It’s messy. But somehow the mess I created feels good. Strong. And calm.
And a lot better than the mess they are hurling at us everyday.
So, the next time you’ve had more than enough of all the stupidity and dread out there.
Remember there are things you can do: march, help your neighbors, vote and …
SPLAT!
SPLAT!
SPLAT!
It may not change the world, but it will change you.
And your change might just help change the world.
One splat at a time.
